Hi again Kaye,

I think your break down of behaviours in to specific building blocks is very
good. I'll lend you a book by Tully Williams called Working Sheep Dogs. You
might find  it interesting because Tully tries to 'breed in' a very wide,
versatile range of behavioural characteristics into his working dogs.

Fido does have a great passion for carrying things in his mouth. He did the
'carry the stick back to the house' game again this morning. This might be
very rewarding because my good friend and neighbour, John McRory is a gun
dog judge and trainer. He encouraged me strongly to get a poodle. I'll take
Fido to meet him today.
