Poodles and doodles

Richard goes to a dog training club to look at training methods and breeds

Hi Kaye,

I've been pretty sick this last week. Got lots of tests back and haven't
found anything dastardly wrong. Haven't found anything at all actually, so
I'm just taking it a bit easy.

I did go to the K9 group at Melton  last Saturday and really liked what I
saw. I've got a few of the bosses looking out for a pup for me. The stand
out dog was a poodle cross but one 'behaviourist' said she has seen a lot of
very bad temperaments in the 'doodle' brigade.

Antiquity poodles is having a litter of 5 pups in a fortnight. If they get a
big parti male with a good temperament I'll probably take it. Shirley Avery,
the breeder, runs puppy classes and has competed in agility and seems very
honest and knowledgeable.I think she would be able to assess a pup pretty
well if she can be objective amongst all those big brown eyes. That would be
hard for anyone!

I've been following the puppy websites. I'm still open to a heinz variety if
I can meet the parents or see older brother or sisters.
